Responsible gaming at bodog is founded on the principle of promoting a conscious and balanced approach to gambling entertainment. Our commitment is to ensure that all players engage with our platform as a form of leisure, maintaining control over their gaming activities at all times. We recognize the importance of providing comprehensive support to our players, and as such, bodog is dedicated to offering all necessary tools and assistance to foster responsible play and to help prevent gambling-related harm.
Risk Awareness
Gambling should remain an enjoyable pastime; however, it is important to be aware of signs that may indicate a developing problem with gambling addiction. Common indicators include:
- Placing bets more frequently than intended or chasing losses
- Constantly thinking about gambling activities outside of play
- Increasing wagers to experience the same excitement
- Neglecting personal, professional, or financial responsibilities due to gambling
- Feeling restless or irritable when unable to gamble
To assist in self-evaluation, please consider the following statements. Reflect on how often they apply to your behavior:
- I find gambling is taking up more of my time than I planned.
- I sometimes gamble to escape from problems or to relieve feelings of helplessness or anxiety.
- I have tried to reduce or stop gambling but was unable to do so.
- I often gamble with money I cannot afford to lose.
- People have expressed concern about my gambling habits.
If you answered "yes" to one or more of these statements frequently, it is advisable to seek help and consider implementing controls to manage your gambling activity.
Limits & Tools
bodog provides several effective tools for managing your gambling activity responsibly. These include setting deposit limits and controlling the duration of your play sessions.
Setting Deposit Limits
You can establish limits on your deposits within your personal account at bo-dog.ca. To set these limits, follow the steps below:
- Log in to your personal account on bodog.
- Navigate to the Responsible Gaming section.
- Select Deposit Limits and choose your preferred limit type: daily, weekly, or monthly.
- Enter the maximum amount you wish to deposit within the selected period.
- Confirm your choices to activate the limits.
These limits are strictly enforced and cannot be overridden before the limit period expires.
Time Spent Limits and Session Timers
To help manage the time spent gambling, bodog offers session timers and the option to enable automatic breaks. These measures encourage healthy gaming habits by alerting you to your playtime duration and allowing you to pause play.
Time-Out (Temporary Break)
You may choose to take a time-out, which is a short-term suspension of your account activities, lasting from 24 to 72 hours. To enable a time-out period:
- Access the Responsible Gaming section in your account.
- Select Time-Out.
- Choose the desired pause duration (24, 48, or 72 hours).
- Confirm your selection.
During this period, you will be unable to log in, place bets, or make deposits. Account funds will remain secure and accessible once the time-out concludes.
Self-Exclusion
For players seeking more extended breaks or permanent cessation, bodog provides a formal self-exclusion process. This allows you to block access to your account, preventing any gambling activity for a set period.
How to Self-Exclude
- Log in to your personal account on bo-dog.ca.
- Navigate to the Responsible Gaming section, then select Self-Exclusion.
- Choose the self-exclusion duration from the available options: a minimum of 6 months up to a lifetime exclusion.
- Read and acknowledge the terms and consequences associated with self-exclusion.
- Confirm and submit your self-exclusion request.
Consequences of Self-Exclusion
- Once self-exclusion is activated, you will not be able to log in to your account for the selected period.
- All active bets will be settled before the exclusion begins; withdrawals may be processed in accordance with the terms of service.
- You will not be permitted to place new bets or make deposits during self-exclusion.
- Withdrawal of any remaining balance will be handled per the applicable withdrawal policies; however, access to gambling services will remain blocked.
- At the end of a temporary self-exclusion period, the account holder must contact customer support if they wish to reinstate access.
- Lifelong self-exclusion requires a formal review by bodog and will generally be permanent unless otherwise negotiated.
For assistance or to discuss self-exclusion further, please contact our responsible gaming support team (contact details below).
